Character | Description |
---|---|
Zatch Bell and Kiyo Takamine | Zatch is an electric mamodo that can shoot powerful beams from its mouth. The guardian of his book is Kiyo, a Japanese teenage high school student whom Zatch treats as his older brother. His final spell allows him to summon a large electric dragon. In the Japanese version, he has the new spell "Zaguruzemu," which was removed in the American version. |
Kanchomé and Parco Folgore | Kanchomé is a bizarre and weakling mamodo that can change shape and size. The guardian of his book is the Italian superstar Parco Folgore, an actor and singer who uses his incredible dancing skills to fight and move in ways that are very difficult to predict. With his aerial attack, he can turn into a paper airplane and fly through the air. His final spell is transforming into a giant fan to blow a tornado. |
Tia and Megumi Oumi | Tia is an energetic and outgoing mamodo girl who has the ability to generate powerful defensive shields. Megumi is a young and famous Japanese singer who takes care of Tia's book and treats her like her best friend. Both are also great friends of Zatch and Kiyo. This couple has a very defensive combat style, and with their shields, they can return the opponent's attacks against them; they are also the only ones with a healing spell that recharges health. Her final spell allows her to shoot a large heart-shaped blade. |
Kido and Dr. Riddles | Kido is a tiny, innocent-looking Mamodo who looks like a puppet and has robotic properties. Dr. Riddles is a mysterious man dressed as a wizard who claims to know everything and acts as a guide for inexperienced Mamodo fighters. Kido's spells are highly offensive; he can fire a huge laser beam from his mouth, pull a machine gun from his hand, or send an army of mini-Kidos to stop the enemy. His ultimate spell summons a mechanical goddess who embraces and destroys the opponent. |
Brago and Sherry Belmont | Brago is a sinister mamodo with the power to control gravity and crush his opponent. Sherry Belmont is a young French socialite with great courage and fighting spirit who takes care of Brago's book. Her fighting style focuses on firing very effective short—and long-range powers that also have defensive properties. Her ultimate spell fires a huge sphere of gravitational force. |
Wonrei and Li-en | Wonrei is a martial arts mamodo with powerful spells that enhance his battle abilities. Li-en is a young Chinese girl equally skilled in kung-fu who assists her mamodo formidably in combat. This pair also stands out because the mamodo and the human are in love with each other. Their fighting style is based on protection and offense with strong physical attacks. Their final spell summons a gigantic white tiger that attacks with its claws. |
Zeno Bell and Dufort | Zeno is a mysterious mamodo who looks like Zatch's evil twin. In addition to his physical resemblance, he has the same electric spells and possesses enormous hatred and resentment toward his blonde double. The guardian of his book is Dufort, a serious and quiet young man with psychic abilities. This team fights like a more aggressive version of Zatch and Kiyo. Their final spell summons a large electric blue dragon. |
Victoream and Mohawk Ace | One of the ancient mamodos revived by Zofis, Victoream is a ridiculous mamodo shaped like the letter "V". This character is known for his madness for melons; every time he tries one, he starts singing and dancing a contagious song. Mohawk Ace is a strange gang member brainwashed by Zofis, who activates his powerful spells of shooting "V" shaped laser beams and turning his hands into long yo-yos. His final spell fires a huge "V" shaped beam and is the most destructive in the entire game. |
Laila and Albert | Laila is a Mamodo girl from 1,000 years ago, who Zofis revived. Despite having a good heart, she confronts the protagonists out of fear of being turned into stone again for another millennium. Her partner, Albert, is brainwashed but still helps her unconditionally. Her spells are based on Laila's lunar wand, which allows her to shoot crescent moons that fly in different patterns and shoot laser beams. Her final spell summons a gigantic crescent moon that crushes and shatters against the enemy. |
Zofis and Koko | Zofis is a male mamodo with an effeminate appearance and voice. He has the power to read minds and use the fear of people and mamodos to manipulate their emotions and make them his slaves. His human partner Koko is a sweet French girl whom Zofis turned into an evil villain with his psychic power. Zofis manages to find the stone tablets where the mamodos from 1,000 years ago slept and revives them to be his personal army. Zofis' spells are based on firing energy beams that paralyze the opponent and explosive projectiles that increase in power depending on the spell. His final spell fires a huge sphere of flaming energy. |
Laila and Albert (Awakened) | Laila and Albert have broken Zofis' spell that held them in thrall and are finally acting as a true team. Now that Albert has awakened from Zofis' hypnosis, Laila has regained her confidence and both show off their powerful and relentless vigilante fighting style, based on shooting large crescent moons with Laila's magic scepter. Her final spell summons a gigantic crescent moon that crushes and shatters against the enemy. |
Milordo-Z and Koko | Milordo Z is the false identity that Zofis originally used. Both he and his partner Koko hide their faces under a mask that has a fragment of the Moonstone. Apart from his appearance, his movements and attacks do not change from his normal version; they only differ in that Milordo Z takes less damage from enemy spells. His final spell fires a huge sphere of flaming energy. |
