The Japanese amberjack (鰤buri), or yellowtail (scientific name Seriola quinqueradiata), is a species of jack fish in the family Carangidae. They are found native to the northwest Pacific Ocean, from Japan to Hawaii.
Yellowtails are creatures commonly found in the Zatch Bell! anime and manga series and are often eaten as cuisines in the series and are Zatch Bell's favorite food. They are usually part of a mamodo's diet and they are often eaten raw by mamodos.

Besides Japan, where these amberjacks are native from, they are also found in the Mamodo World, either in lakes, inside water trees, or even attached to regular-looking trees.
These fish are blue on top and white on the bottom. All of their fins are yellow, including their tail, which is a reference to their name. The fish's mouth is quite large and has large pink lips. They also have bulging eyes, which usually shed tears as they are about to be eaten.
