Urimire and John Render

Urimire (ウリムレ, Urimure) and John (ジョン, Jon) are a minor Ancient Mamodo team appear during the Stone Tablet Arc. Urimire's spells have the Grappling attribute.

Appearance[]

Urimire is a large, armored Mamodo with a design that gives him the appearance of a living juggernaut. His body is covered in segmented green and yellow plating, forming an angular shell that makes him look both insectoid and mechanical. His head is small compared to his body, with a pale face and sharp red eyes that radiate aggression. His limbs are thick and powerful, ending in massive fists designed for brute-force combat. The armor plating around his shoulders and torso extends outward like layered shields. Urimire’s towering size and armored frame make him appear extremely strong, a fortress-like Mamodo meant to overwhelm opponents through sheer strength.

John, his current human partner, is a slim, fair-skinned boy with neatly cut blond hair that frames his face evenly and falls just above his eyes. His overall look is tidy and understated, reinforcing a serious, reserved impression. He wears a brown school blazer over a white dress shirt and green necktie, paired with beige plaid shorts. Dark knee-high socks and simple black shoes complete his uniform, giving him a clean, traditional school appearance.

Personality[]

John is academically capable and quick-tempered. He generally presents a serious and composed demeanor, though he becomes easily irritated.[1]

Biography[]

Background[]

Urimire participated in the previous battle 1,000 years ago to decide the Mamodo King. At some point during the battle, Urimire was turned into a stone tablet when Goren of the Stone used his spell, Dioga Gorugojio. After being trapped in a stone tablet for 1,000 years, Urimire was returned to his body by Zofis when he used the Stone of Moonlight on him and the other ancient mamodo. John is not Urimire's original partner and, under normal circumstances, would be unable to read the spellbook or activate its spells. However, through Zofis’ mental manipulation, the cognitive dissonance between the descendants and the spellbook was forcibly synchronized. This artificial alignment allows John to read and cast the spells as though he were Urimire's rightful partner.

Part I[]

Their first appearance was during the advancement of Zatch's group into the ruins. Urimire managed to damage Folgore, punching him with his arm-strengthening technique, but was countered by Kido's Amuzegaru. He and his allies were ultimately unable to defeat the group, but Urimire's book was not burned. Their next and last appearance was in the final Ancient Mamodo battle between the majority of their forces and Brago and Sherry. Urimire was tossed effortlessly by Brago and used as a shield to block a massive aerial attack. He and all of the Ancient Mamodo gathered got their books burned simultaneously by Brago's Baberuga Gurabidon. John was later freed of Zofis' control and returned to his homeland by Apollo.

Spells[]

Although none of Urimire's spells are shown, they are known to have the Grappling attribute.

Trivia[]

  • Urimire's head resembles a combination of Belgim E.O's headdress and Victoream's face.
  • Urimire resembles a pharaoh.
