Anime and first aired in Japan on June 19, 2005. While this episode features some moments originally adapted from the Konjiki no Gash!! Manga, this episode is mostly filler.

Synopsis

At the airport, Kiyo, Zatch, and their friends part ways after discussing the disappearance of the mysterious structure, with Kiyo suspecting it was hidden until a larger plan is ready, while quietly urging Kanchome to share what he knows. Wonrei and Li-en depart first, declining Zatch’s invitation to go ice skating, followed by Folgore, Kanchome, and Dr. Riddles. Meanwhile, Suzy invites Kiyo skating, sparking excitement among classmates and mischief from others, and though Kiyo, Zatch, and Ponygon prepare little compared to their peers, all join the outing. On the ice, no one proves skilled at skating, and chaos erupts when the teacher challenges everyone to race for a flag, leaving Kiyo relieved that Wonrei and Li-en weren’t there to witness the embarrassing spectacle.

Full Summary

Kiyo, Zatch, and their allies meet up with each other one last time at the airport before going their separate ways. While there, Dr. Riddles asks Kiyo for his thoughts on the sudden disappearance of the mysterious structure that they had all been looking into. Kiyo theorizes that while the structure is intended to be used for someone’s plan, he believes that preparations for this plan are not yet complete and the structure was hidden so as to not draw any more attention to it after it was discovered. He then goes on to mention that while he’s unsure where it may have disappeared to, he’s certain that the only way to locate the structure is by finding a demon who has keen perception. Remembering how nervous Kanchome appeared to be when he had found out about the structure, Kiyo quietly tells Kanchome that he would like him to tell him what he had discovered as soon as he gathers the courage for it. Not long after this, Wonrei and Li-en mention first it’s about time for them to leave and share their goodbyes to the group. Before they leave, Zatch mentions to them that he, Ponygon, Kiyo, and Kiyo’s classmates were planning to go ice skating in a few days and tries to invite them for this. Both of them however were unable to stay in town any longer and eventually left to return home. Folgore, Kanchome, and Dr. Riddles would also soon leave as well.

Some time earlier, Suzy is seen watching an ice skating show on television. While watching the performers, she begins to fantasize about the idea of ice skating with Kiyo and decides that she will invite him to go skating with her that Sunday. Suzy asks Kiyo this at school, but word of Kiyo going ice skating catches the attention of some of their other classmates and even some school faculty. While Kiyo’s classmates see this outing as an opportunity to show off their ice skating skills, others such as Toyama view it as an opportunity to ruin Kiyo’s Sunday. When Kiyo returns home, he mentions his plan to go ice skating with Suzy to Zatch and Ponygon and invites them to come along. Excited for ice skating, Zatch and Ponygon decide they’ll do some training in preparation for it. While Kiyo spends most of his free time relaxing, many of his other classmates are shown to be preparing for ice skating just like Zatch and Ponygon.

On the day of the outing, Suzy and Kiyo are the first pair to step out onto the ice rink. Instead of smoothly gliding on the ice as she had pictured, Suzy and Kiyo immediately slip and fall as neither of them are able to skate. Their peers make fun of them for this and attempt to show off their ice skating skills only to also fall down after entering the ice rink. Their homeroom teacher’s wife would be the last one to attempt to prove her skating ability to the class but like everyone else, she also loses her balance and falls. Upset seeing his wife fall and frustrated with everyone’s lack of ability to skate, the homeroom teacher challenges everyone to race towards a flag he had placed on the ice in order to prove who among them was the best skater. This challenge causes the already disastrous day to become even more chaotic as everyone begins rushing towards the flag, slipping and falling on the ice all while trying to fight their way past each other. As Kiyo watches the pandemonium going on around him, he thinks to himself how glad he is that Wonrei and Li-en didn’t meet his peers.
