| Overview |
Kikuropu (キクロプ, Kikuropu) is a mamodo fighting alongside a so-called British Gentleman (as his name is never revealed). Kikuropu's spells are Strengthening-based, along with a special rock-armor covering his entire body.
Appearance[]
Kikuropu is a tall mamodo. He wears dark brown armor over most of his body, while the parts where he doesn't have armor are flesh-colored. He wears a full-body cloak and a cloth covered with painted eyes.
The British Gentleman is a tall, slender man with short black hair and a long, matching black mustache. His attire reflects his aristocratic persona, consisting of an elegant dark blue suit with a buttoned jacket and trousers. He completes his look with a white shirt featuring a long, wide collar, a bow tie, and a matching hat, emphasizing his refined yet menacing presence.
Personality[]
Kikuropu is an evil mamodo who attacks Djem 's family and Yopopo in an attempt to burn his book. He believes deeply in his armor, believing that even an attack wouldn't harm him.
The British Gentleman is portrayed as having an evil and calculating personality. He deliberately targeted Yopopo and Djem, recognizing their weakness and seeing their defeat as an easy way to eliminate a future threat in the Mamodo battle. His ruthlessness extended beyond Mamodos, as he showed no hesitation in harming innocent humans, demonstrated when he attacked Djem’s family. This cruelty highlights his lack of empathy and his willingness to exploit any advantage to advance in the battle.
Biography[]
Background[]
Djem explains that it was a month ago when she ruined her life and has a flashback where she was running home screaming that she had met some very strange people but it turns out that those people are now in her house and her grandfather and mother are on the ground along with the destroyed house, Djem tries to call the police but the British Man stops her saying that it is Yopopo's fault who is thrown to the ground for not telling them where the book is; Djem claims that he does not know anything about the book and they left when they could not find it.
The gentleman discovered fellow Brit Djem and her partner Yopopo after being attracted by Yopopo's singing and dancing and attempt to make them fight her for their own battle desires. However because Djem had left Yopopo's book behind at school, he instead takes his attack out on Djem's family and continues to threaten them until Yopopo battles them.
Later, he and Kikuropu meet Yopopo again and decide to fight him to burn his book; Djem, Zatch, Kiyomaro and Susy run off to find Yopopo and help him. While they beat up Yopopo, he begins to remember how he met Djem and even when he played hide-and-seek with her, Yopopo falls to the ground and the British man insists that he tell him where the book is but Yopopo stands up and his rivals cast the first Amuruk spell that enlarges the mamodo's arm and slams Yopopo against the rocks; Yopopo remembers everything he did to Djem and stands up wanting to attack while crying but his rivals cast the second Amu Shizaruk spell that turns his hands into scissors and before they can hit Yopopo he is stopped by Zatch's Zaker.
Kiyomaro and Zatch warn that they are allies and the British man warns them that Kikuropu can kill 3 insects alone but Kiyomaro interrupts the speech to shout Yopopo 's name and tell him that he has something very important which is the strength of the heart to which Zatch tells him that they will protect Djem; Yopopo gets up crying and addresses his rivals causing Djem to enter the fight reading the Doremikeru spell and Yopopo jumps and throws a rainbow with musical notes from his mouth that destroys Kikuropu's suit and throws him into the sea. Kikuropu gets up enraged ready to cast the next Amursen spell from which spikes come out of Kikuropu's elbows that hit Yopopo, when these spikes go to Djem, Zatch and Kiyomaro intervene using Rashield to return the spell; Kikuropu uses his hand to protect his partner leaving both completely unharmed.
The British man is willing to finish off his enemies and makes Kikuropu use the Emron spell from which flames come out of the mamodo and he can direct his fist towards his rivals, Kiyomaro thinks about using the fourth spell since the third would have no effect but when he says Bao Zakeruga nothing happens so Kikuropu takes advantage of that moment to attack Djem but Yopopo hooks his arm stopping it from hitting Djem; even so he has not been able to prevent the spell from impacting the book causing it to start burning but when Djem warns Yopopo he smiles leaving everyone very surprised. Zatch realizes that this is what Yopopo wanted since he only wanted to protect Djem above his life but Djem resists that and grabs the book tightly with the intention of putting it out.
The British man says there's no turning back but Zatch says he's going to defeat him while Kiyomaro is seen crying and hitting the book because he's not getting anywhere; finally he concentrates and reads Bao Zakeruga causing a dragon of electricity to come out of Zatch's mouth and shatter Kikuropu's armor. Kiyomaro falls to the ground due to the great effort and tells Yopopo that this is his chance to finish Kikuropu, so Yopopo launches an attack and while the book burns Djem is able to use the Doremikeru spell once more; Kikuropu is defeated and the British man escapes.
Clear Note Arc[]
After the battle, Kikuropu is seen in a picture with all participating mamodo given to Kiyo by Zatch. His partner is also shown to have received a letter from him and was crying as he was reading it.
