Kaneko (金子（かねこ）) is a student at Mochinoki Middle School and a classmate of Kiyo. Like Kiyo, Kaneko wasn't interested in the people around him. Kaneko rivals Kiyo in terms of school grades and he focuses on his school work and Kaneko hates to lose to Kiyo.
