| Overview |
Kamack (カマック, Kamakku) and Lyon (ライオン, Raion) are a minor ancient mamodo team that appear during the Stone Tablet Arc. Their spells appear to focus on crystals and light.
Appearance[]
Kamack is a mamodo with a lean build. His most striking feature is his large, bat-like headpiece that spreads outward in two sharp, winged points. He wears a dark armored vest with prominent shoulder guards, matching gauntlets, and wide blue pants tucked into his footwear. His outfit is also accented with a red belt at the waist.
Lyon, his human partner, is tall with a sturdy frame and short blond hair. He is dressed in a full orange jumpsuit resembling a worker’s or prisoner’s uniform, complete with a name tag.

Biography[]
Background[]
Kamack participated in the previous battle 1,000 years ago to decide the Mamodo King. At some point during the battle, Kamack ran into Goren of the Stone and Maurice and was turned into a stone tablet by his spell, Dioga Gorugojio. After being trapped in a stone tablet for 1,000 years, Hajime was returned to his body by Zofis when he used the Stone of Moonlight on him and the other ancient mamodo trapped in stone. Lyon is not Kamack’s original partner and, under normal circumstances, would be unable to read the spellbook or activate its spells. However, through Zofis’ mental manipulation, the cognitive dissonance between the descendants and the spellbook was forcibly synchronized. This artificial alignment allows Lyon to read and cast the spells as though he were Kamack’s rightful partner.
Part I[]
Kamack’s only battle took place the day after Penny departed with Badios, Boru Bora, Erujo, and Dogmos to attack Zatch in Japan. Dr. Riddles and Kido snuck up to the ruins to gauge the situation, but Zofis sensed their trespassing and made Kamack aware of it; he went scouting alone, and when he came across them, they immediately took action to silence him.
Upon encountering Dr. Riddles and Kido, Kamack immediately engaged them in combat, eager to vent his frustration after a thousand years of inactivity. When Kido cast Zegaruga, Kamack countered by deflecting the attack with Gigara Rerudo. During the exchange, Kamack openly praised Zofis’s mind-control powers, remarking with satisfaction that his human partner cast spells in perfect sync with his thoughts, and informing Dr. Riddles that the human was completely brainwashed.
As the battle escalated, Kamack countered Kido’s Raajia Zerusen by firing a powerful laser-type spell, then followed up by launching crystal projectiles with another attack. Dr. Riddles responded with Koburuku, allowing the miniature Kidos to swarm Kamack. Underestimating them, Kamack was struck, prompting him to cast a spell that enhanced his fists and knock them away with brute force. This created an opening for Dr. Riddles to boast about his intention to make Kido the Mamodo King, which inspired Kido to make a similar declaration. Annoyed by their confidence, Kamack charged forward with a spell-enhanced fist, preparing a decisive blow. However, Dr. Riddles cast Gigano Zegaru, unleashing a massive blast that overwhelmed Kamack and resulted in the burning of his spellbook.
As his book burned, Kamack warned them that their victory was insignificant, explaining that the other Ancient Mamodo always attacked in groups. He revealed that the group which had left the previous day was targeting Zatch, boasting that the modern Mamodo were disappearing one by one and that Dr. Riddles and Kido would be next. Kamack’s warning proved critical. After returning to the city, Dr. Riddles contacted Tia and Megumi Oumi, alerting them to the impending attack. Their intervention allowed them to reach Zatch and Kiyo Takamine just in time, ultimately saving them from Penny and her group.
After the Battle[]
Kamack appeared attending an Asian-style school alongside Wonrei and Danny.
