Furigaro (フリ ガロ, Furigaro) and Gerhart (ゲルハルト, Geruharuto) are a Mamodo team faced by Brago and Sherry in the Mamodo Battle. Furigaro uses Ice Magic. In the manga, they placed no higher than 73rd out of all mamodo.

Appearance[]

Furigaro is a yeti-like Mamodo, with the general build of a light-brown gorilla but covered in shaggy white hair all over; the only parts uncovered by hair are his muzzle filled with sharp teeth, his ten fingers with sharp black claws on the ends, and his large three-toed feet with claws on each toe.

Gerhart is a serious-faced man with short black hair who is shown wearing a green winter coat with a yellowish-white fur collar and a black belt around the waist, black fingerless gloves, khaki pants, and black boots. In his original color scheme, his coat and pants were bluish-gray instead.

Personality[]

Furigaro does not speak any lines in either the original manga or the anime, leaving his exact personality largely unknown. However, his behavior in battle suggests a fierce and warlike nature. Despite facing Brago, one of the strongest Mamodo and a leading contender for the throne, Furigaro shows no fear and fights him head-on, displaying a bravery and combat instinct that match his beast-like appearance.

Gerhart barely spoke any lines, leaving much about his personality unknown. However, his calm demeanor in battle suggests strong composure and intellect. Even when facing Sherry and Brago, he shows no fear or fatigue, and his use of Ragikoru Fangu to target Sherry, rather than Brago, demonstrates keen tactical judgment. His ability to fight on nearly equal footing with Sherry highlights his resilience and strategic skill as a book owner.

Biography[]

Part I[]

Versus Brago and Sherry[]

What little is shown concerning Furigaro and Gerhart demonstrates formidable power and skill, but the pair met their match on June 8, in a German town on the outskirts of the Rhein River, when they clashed with Brago and Sherry.

At some point during the battle, Gerhart cast Rājia Furizudo, freezing the entire town despite it being summertime. Most of the fight was offscreen, but as it neared a conclusion, both sides were bloodied but unbowed, though Sherry and Brago showed significantly less damage. The bookkeepers locked eyes and cast their spells. Furigaro's Scape Gishield crumbled quickly beneath Brago's Ion Gravirei, but it held long enough for Furigaro and Gerhart to retreat several steps. Then Gerhart cast Lagikor Fang, which Furigaro fired into the ground. The icy wolf surfaced below Sherry, blindsiding her and nearly killing her, but Brago shoved her out of the way, and the spell severed the left arm he used to push her. Gerhart voiced his pleasure that he thought he had gotten them, but as the mist from the spell cleared, Brago was nowhere to be seen. Holding onto his severed arm with his teeth, Brago appeared on their left side, and before Gerhart could do more than begin to curse, Sherry cast Gigano Reis; Gerhart threw himself to the ground to take cover as the spell enveloped both Furigaro and his spellbook, destroying it.[1]

Clear Note Arc[]

Though not seen clearly, Furigaro was among the spirits in the Mamodo World who lent Zatch his power in the final clash against Clear Note.[2] One month after Zatch became king, Furigaro was shown in the library with Zabas, Robnos, Momon, Kido, Zaruchim, and Sugino, and he also appeared in the group picture of all the Mamodos at the end of the battle.[3]
