Synopsis[]
Kiyo, Zatch, and their remaining allies escape into Faudo’s blood vessel passageways in hopes of getting closer to finding the device to return Faudo to the Mamodo World. Along the way, they find Faudo’s Heart Guardian, who points them in the direction of another room in Faudo, displaying large maps that would help guide their way. After seeing where they need to go next, most of the group takes a short rest before continuing their journey. While they do, Momon tries to carry everyone to the next area himself as a way to make amends for the trouble he had caused for everyone throughout the journey.
Full Summary[]
Tia reminds Wonrei that he is one of Zatch's friends too
After Kiyo, Zatch, and their remaining allies escaped, Zaruchim decides that he’ll bring their captured allies to Riou. He then reveals that the reason why their spell books had not been burned yet is that he believes they could still potentially awaken a new spell that would help them destroy Faudo’s seal. Wonrei , however, suggests that Zatch and Kiyo will return to rescue Tio and Kanchome as long as their books are intact. Tio angrily confronts Wonrei upon hearing this and reminds him that he’s one of Zatch’s allies too. Eventually, the group is then moved to a small prison cell where they’ll be kept until Faudo’s revival. Despite the seemingly hopeless situation they’re in, they all continue to have faith that Zatch and the others will find a way to rescue them and return Faudo to the Mamodo World.
Elle slaps Momon
Meanwhile, Zatch, Kiyo, and their group explore Faudo’s blood vessel passageways in hopes of finding the device to return Faudo to the Mamodo World. The passageways themselves are extensive, and the group ends up relying on Momon and his ability to sense mamodoic power to lead them in the direction where this power is strongest. Momon, however, continues to point the group in the wrong direction whenever they must choose between two tunnels, so they end up walking down the tunnel that’s opposite of where he’s telling them. The group navigates through the passageways with ease until they end up in a large open area with numerous tunnels in all directions. Elle asks Momon to point to the correct one, but he once again intentionally points at the wrong one. Finally fed up with this, Elle slaps Momon across the face and scolds him for his cowardice. While confronting him about his behavior, she reminds him of Alishie’s bravery when he had desperately tried to protect everyone while fighting against the fear of death. She then tells him that she’s just as afraid as he is about the situation they’re in, but it ultimately doesn’t matter as they are the only ones that can save everyone and therefore must push forward.
Kiyo asks Faudo's Heart Guardian questions about Faudo
Continuing their journey, Momon eventually leads the group into a room containing Faudo’s heart, and the group sees a large mamodo, Faudo’s Heart Guardian, pounding Faudo’s heart in a steady rhythm. When speaking to the Heart Guardian, he confirms that they are standing nearby Faudo’s heart, and the group is relieved knowing that they can ask this mamodo for information about Faudo. Kiyo then asks if he knows about the device that can return Faudo to the Mamodo World. The Heart Guardian responds that such a device doesn’t exist, but it’s soon revealed that this is because the Heart Guardian believes they’re still in the Mamodo World. Kiyo then asks about the location of the control room and how they can get there, and learns that while the Heart Guardian doesn’t know how to get there, he informs them that it’s located in the brain. The Heart Guardian then points to a passageway behind them and tells them that it leads to the spinal cord, where there is a room with a large monitor that can help them get the gist of things. After gathering this information, the group decides to head towards this room and see what they can learn from there.
Kiyo's group discover on a map the location of the device that can return Faudo to the Mamodo World
Much like the Heart Guardian had told them, the room they enter contains a large monitor that displays detailed schematics and detailed maps of all the locations inside Faudo. While looking through the maps, Kiyo finds one that details the flow of energy from Faudo’s heart. He then speculates that because the Heart Guardian doesn’t know about the device that sent Faudo to the Human World, it means that the device wasn’t originally connected to it and was added later on. He goes on to state that the large amount of energy needed to transport Faudo must have come from the heart, and although the energy was supplied, the device does not appear on any map on Faudo. With this information in mind, Kiyo then points out on the monitor where this device is located, which appears as an empty spot on the energy map. When asked to memorize this location, Momon tells everyone that he’s able to sense something that feels different to him than the rest of Faudo and believes he can guide everyone to it. Just as they finish talking about this, Kiyo nearly faints from exhaustion, as at this point he had been moving for about thirty hours. Momon tells everyone to try to take about ten minutes to rest while he focuses on memorizing the device’s location.
Zatch and Ponygon stop Momon from falling and help carry their bookkeepers
Once everyone falls asleep, Momon decides to carry everyone in his ears to the device quietly. While carrying everyone, Momon reaches a long flight of stairs and uses all of his strength to continue pushing forward one step at a time. As he slowly climbs up the stairs, he reflects on how much trouble he has caused everyone, especially Elle, for whom he feels regret for the many times he caused her grief with his behavior. Momon then thinks about how much he loves Elle and seeing her smile and hopes that if he can carry everyone to the top of the steps, he could see Elle smile again. When Momon takes another step forward, he loses balance and begins to fall backwards. Zatch and Umagon, who woke up just in time, stop him from falling and decide to help him carry their bookkeepers up the steps. When they finally reach the top, they stand before a massive iron door where Momon senses the presence of two powerful mamodos. Because of this, he tells Zatch and Umagon to wake up their partners, as a battle soon awaits them all.

Manga & Anime Differences[]
- In the manga while asking Faudo’s Heart Guardian for information, Sunbeam suggests that they stop Faudo’s heart beat in order to possibly stop Faudo from coming to life after being unsealed. While they tried this plan in the manga, it was never shown in the anime.
