Description
Dioga Gorugojio (ディオガ・ゴルゴジオ) is one of Goren's spells. Classified as a Dioga-class spell, it unleashes a massive beam of light from the eye patterns on Goren’s chest. Any mamodo struck by the beam, along with their spellbook, is transformed into a stone tablet and imprisoned for a thousand years. This effect is permanent, as victims remained petrified even after the conclusion of the battle for the king, forcing them to linger in the human world as inert stone until the seal was broken. It was only through the intervention of Zofis, using the Stone of Moonlight, that the imprisoned mamodo were freed.

The spell is regarded as the ultimate manifestation of Goren’s ability to immobilize opponents, with its victims officially considered eliminated from the battle for the king. By sealing away their presence and spell power, their books became undetectable, effectively counting as a loss. Its cruelty is unparalleled: even if Goren himself were defeated and returned to the Mamodo World, the petrified victims would remain behind in the human world, trapped for eternity as stone tablets. Consciousness endures within the seal, leaving the victims aware yet immobile, condemned to endless isolation unless freed by an outside force.

Goren used Dioga Gorugojio to seal nearly forty mamodo during the thousand-year battle, including all of the stone warriors that Zatch and his allies confronted in the present story. Having spent centuries in confinement, these mamodo carried with them profound hatred and trauma, their long imprisonment shaping both their fear and their desire for revenge.
