Buzarai's Fierce Attack. Dioga vs. Baou. The Reversal Chain is the one hundred and thirtieth episode of Zatch Bell!/Konjiki no Gash Bell!! anime and the thirtieth episode of Season 3.
Synopsis[]
Zatch and Kanchomé’s desperate battle against Keith and Buzarai rages on, the field still trembling from the clash of their last spells. Kanchomé’s Dima Buruku had just managed to withstand one of Buzarai’s strongest attacks, shocking everyone with its unexpected resilience. But as the dust settles, both sides come to the same realization: their strength is nearly spent. With only fragments of heart power left, the battle’s outcome will hinge entirely on how effectively those final spells are used. Kiyo quickly formulates a plan, relying on Kanchomé’s trickery to buy them the opening they need. If they can set the stage just right, he intends to fire one last Zagurzem at Buzarai to create the electrical chain needed. That chain would become the foundation for a single decisive strike—Baou Zakerga—powerful enough to consume both Buzarai and Keith in one final blow.
Full Summary[]
Keith consults with Berun and Kars
Kanchomé’s Dima Buruku clones manage to hold back Buzarai’s Gigano Gazuron, stunning everyone on the battlefield. Gaining confidence, Kanchomé rallies his clones to charge toward Keith and Buzarai. Since Keith is unable to use any more spells, he orders Buzarai to handle them in his Gou Gazuruku battle form. While the fight rages, Keith, Berun, and Kars quickly assess their situation. Kars admits she has just enough strength left to cast one more Dioga-class spell, while Berun is completely drained. On the other side, Kiyo and Zatch are in similar straits, with Kiyo having just enough heart energy left for Zagurzem and Baou Zakerga. At that moment, both Keith and Kiyo realize the battle’s outcome will be decided by who can best utilize their final spells. Watching Buzarai fend off the clones, Keith notices the real Kanchomé has withdrawn and is lying helpless some distance away. He aims to strike him directly, but Folgore suddenly appears, scooping Kanchomé up and carrying him back to Zatch and Kiyo while dodging Keith’s attacks.
Kanchomé's clone throws Keith to complete the chain
The fight continues as Kanchomé’s clones demonstrate remarkable teamwork against Buzarai, striking him in coordinated chains of attacks. Their efforts open a chance for Zatch and Kiyo, who hit Buzarai with Zagurzem. Just as things appear to turn in their favor, Keith suddenly appears behind them and warns that even with Baou Zakerga, they cannot hope to finish him and Buzarai in one blow. He also points out a dangerous truth—Baou Zakerga alone cannot cancel out Buzarai’s Dioga-class spell without reinforcement from Zagurzem. As the group hesitates, Kars casts Buzarai’s Dioga Gazuron. Desperate to buy time, Kanchomé orders his clones to block the spell. Though completely outmatched, they manage to hold it back long enough to stall. Then Kanchomé reveals his hidden strategy: while most clones had charged into battle earlier, one had remained concealed behind Keith. As the last of the defenders fade, the hidden clone seizes Keith and hurls him forward, creating the final link in their “chain.” With everything in place, Kiyo casts Baou Zakerga. The massive dragon of lightning engulfs Keith first, then draws strength from Zagurzem’s reinforcement, tearing through Buzarai’s Dioga Gazuron and ultimately burning his spellbook.
Keith still stands despite taking a direct attack from an enhanced Baou Zakeruga
When the smoke clears, the group is shocked to see Keith still standing. Though wounded, he remains on his feet, reaching for his cigar—only to find it vaporized in the blast. With a wry smile, he admits he failed to keep his boast of finishing the fight before his smoke ran out. He looks back to Berun, who shakes his head, indicating he has no energy left to continue. To everyone’s surprise, Keith and Berun decide to end the battle, choosing instead to leave and indulge in potato tempura. The group is left both baffled and relieved to avoid further fighting. At that moment, Momon suddenly appears, but to their shock, Elle and the others are not with him.
A strong light emits from Cherish's spellbook
Elsewhere, Ponygon and Tia’s team clash against Cherish. While Tia provides support with defensive spells, Ponygon pushes forward with attacks in his battle form. Watching the fight, Sunbeam notices Cherish and Nicole’s lack of battle experience and decides their best chance is to end things quickly. Suddenly, Cherish’s spellbook begins to glow with an intense light, signaling the activation of a powerful spell. Acting immediately, Sunbeam casts Dioemuru Shudoruku and orders Ponygon to strike before the spell can be released. Ponygon’s flames surge toward Cherish and Nicole, but as Nicole tries to cast, Riou’s curse mark overwhelms her, leaving her unable to read the spell. Just before the flames hit, a wall suddenly rises in front of them, blocking the attack. Tia destroys it with Saisu, and to everyone’s astonishment, Wonrei appears. He has come to rescue Cherish and Nicole. Without a word, he gathers them and leaves, only casting a brief, silent glance back at the group before disappearing into the shadows.
