Buton Aram

Buton (ブットン, Button) and Aram (アラム, Aramu) are a minor ancient mamodo team who only appears once. Their spells are unnamed but are based on Strengthening. They were only seen in Episode 76 and Episode 77 and Chapter 142 next to Penny.

Appearance[]

Buton is a bulky, beast-like mamodo with a distinctly animalistic build and coloration, resembling a beetle. Buton has dark brown armor covering most of his body, contrasted by a lighter tan underbelly and chest that emphasize his muscular torso. His limbs are thick and powerful, giving him a stocky, heavy-hitting silhouette rather than a sleek or agile one. His hands and feet are large, suited for blunt strikes and grappling, and his forearms appear especially reinforced. His head is rounded with a pronounced snout-like face and small sharp yellow eyes.

Aram is depicted with blonde hair and wears a green shirt paired with matching green pants.

Personality[]

Aram is a man whose mind was brainwashed by Zofis, but got free once Brago burned all the ancient mamodos books, including Buton's.

Biography[]

Background[]

Buton petrified

Buton petrified

Buton participated in the previous battle 1,000 years ago to decide the Mamodo King. At some point during the battle, Buton was turned into a stone tablet when Goren of the Stone used his spell, Dioga Gorugojio. After being trapped in a stone tablet for 1,000 years, Buton was returned to his body by Zofis when he used the Stone of Moonlight on him and the other ancient mamodo. Aram is not Buton's original partner and, under normal circumstances, would be unable to read the spellbook or activate its spells. However, through Zofis’ mental manipulation, the cognitive dissonance between the descendants and the spellbook was forcibly synchronized. This artificial alignment allows Aram to read and cast the spells as though he were Buton's rightful partner.

Part I[]

Buton and Aram appear during the fight with Brago and Sherry at the Devolo Ruins. They cast a spell from the air while riding on top of Ferius. Buton's book is burned during the fight.
