Synopsis[]
Inside Faudo, Zarchim uses the fortress’s systems to create clones, restraining Kiyo’s group while he battles Alishie and Riya directly. As citizens evacuate Mochinoki City, Suzume wanders unaware, still waiting for Zatch and Kiyo. During the fight, Zarchim recalls his first clash with Alishie, when Alishie’s resolve once forced him to hesitate despite Laoxing Mo’s cruelty. Now determined to end things, Zarchim unleashes his full strength, but Zatch and Tia break free from a clone’s restraints and, alongside Kiyo and Megumi, destroy it. Alishie and Riya also fight back fiercely, but Zarchim counters with his strongest spell, Jiboruou Shidon. Riya throws himself into the attack to weaken it, with Alishie reinforcing him through Nidoruku. Ted, Gide, and Li-en arrive just in time, and Ted smashes through the spell in his Taabu Damu Naguru form before confronting Zarchim. Though Zarchim restrains Ted and Gide again, he is left weakened and retreats with Laoxing Mo, realizing he must warn Riou of an even greater threat. After the battle, Li-en shares Wonrei’s farewell message with the group, moving them to continue forward with renewed resolve toward Faudo’s control room.
Full Summary[]
Zaruchim uses Ganzu Shidosen
Through the use of Faudo’s support system, Zarchim creates an identical clone of himself to keep Alishie and Riya’s allies restrained with his Orushido Sharon spell while he focuses on fighting Alishie without interference. Zarchim initiates the battle by attacking the pair first with Ganzu Shidosen. Alishie and Riya take cover behind a boulder before charging back at him. As the fight intensifies, Kiyo and his allies watch helplessly, worried for Alishie and Riya since they had already used much of their energy earlier to defeat Gyaron. Meanwhile, in Mochinoki City, citizens begin emergency evacuations, loading as many people as possible onto boats to flee before Faudo arrives. To assist, Seitaro and D’Artagnan arrive with D’Artagnan’s ship to help transport the remaining civilians. In the middle of the now-empty town, however, Suzume wanders alone, confused and unaware of the situation, thinking of Zatch and Kiyo and hoping they return soon.
Zaruchim at a standstill with Alishie
Back in Faudo, Zarchim recalls his first battle with Alishie, when he came to Alishie’s village to capture him after the curse was placed. During that fight, Alishie managed to grab Zarchim by the neck, stunning him with his resolve. Zarchim ordered his bookkeeper Laoxing Mo to cast Shidona Dippu, forming a shadow dagger. But when Alishie leaned into the blade, ready to sacrifice himself to prevent Faudo’s revival and protect his village, Zarchim pulled back, knowing Alishie’s power was essential. While Zarchim hesitated, Alishie cast Pikku Garunio, and only Laoxing Mo’s intervention saved him. Once more, Zarchim tried to stab Alishie before casting his strongest spell, but Alishie’s glare made him hesitate. Then, Laoxing Mo took a child hostage from the village, forcing Alishie to surrender and allow himself to be taken to Faudo.
Riya uses Shaou Niodoruku
Remembering this humiliation, Zarchim now vows to fight with his full strength and finally defeat Alishie. He rushes forward with Shidona Di Shizaruku, slashing wildly. Alishie and Riya evade before Alishie counters with Gou Niodoruku. As their battle rages, Zatch and Tia, frustrated at being unable to help, draw on their strength to break free of the clone’s Orushido Sharon. They then attack the clone directly, freeing Kiyo and Megumi in the process. Kiyo casts Zakerga while Megumi follows with Saisu, and together they destroy the clone. At the same time, Alishie and Riya finish off another of Zarchim’s bodies with Gou Amuruku followed by Shaou Niodoruku.
Riya jumps in to protect Alishie
But just as victory seems assured, it is revealed that the Zarchim they struck down was only another clone. Before Kiyo, Zatch, Megumi, and Tia can move in, Faudo’s defense system activates, releasing demonic creatures to attack them. Alishie charges at Zarchim recklessly, but Riya leaps in front of him, determined not to let him throw his life away. At that moment, Laoxing Mo casts Zarchim’s strongest spell, Jiboruou Shidon. Riya hurls himself into the spell, determined to reach its core and stop it. Desperate to protect him, Alishie uses his remaining strength to cast Nidoruku to reinforce Riya’s body. Empowered, Riya transforms and blocks part of the light projecting Jiboruou Shidon, cutting its power in half.
Ted attacks Zaruchim's Jiboruou Shīdon
As the situation grows dire, Gide, Ted, and Li-en arrive to help. Ted charges at Jiboruou Shidon, urging Gide to raise his spell’s power further. Empowered into his Taabu Damu Naguru form, Ted smashes through the spell directly before turning on Zarchim himself. Meanwhile, Li-en aids Kiyo, Zatch, Megumi, and Tia in battling Faudo’s defense system, pointing out the creatures’ weak points. After enduring Ted’s barrage of punches, Zarchim finally restrains Ted and Gide with Orushido Sharon. Weakened and barely conscious, Zarchim and Laoxing Mo retreat from the battlefield. As they escape, Zarchim hurries back to Riou, realizing at last that he must warn him of the far greater enemy he had been sensing.
Li-en sees the message Wonrei carved
Relieved, Kiyo’s group welcomes Ted and Gide, grateful for their help. In the brief calm, they notice Wonrei isn’t with Li-en. Tearfully, she explains what happened and shows them the headband Wonrei left behind, carved with a message to reassure her not to worry even though they could not say goodbye. Zatch apologizes, feeling guilty that Wonrei had to return to the Mamodo World, but Li-en assures him that Wonrei wasn’t a sacrifice and vows to keep protecting the world as he did. With renewed determination, the group unlocks the next door inside Faudo and continue onward toward the control room.
