Baransha (バランシャ, Baransha) and Garza (ガルザ, Garza) are a mamodo and human pair seen in the Zatch Bell! anime and manga. They resemble a panther and hunter pair. Baransha and Garza first appeared in episode 39 and made a cameo in episode 54.
History[]
Baransha and Garza lure Zatch and Kiyo to their "hunting ground" using an invitation to a vacation at a hot spring. When they arrive, Baransha leaves an invitation to a secret spa spot in the forest. When Zatch and Kiyo go to check it out, Baransha attacks Kiyo with Wokeru and destroys the bridge. She then used her invisibility spell, Gu Riaruk, as cover to attack Kiyo unseen. After Kiyo traces their movements using a smell coated on them by foul smelling nuts and Zatch's sharp smelling, the pair are defeated by Bao Zakeruga, but they survive and manage to run away without getting their book burned (In the anime, they jump from a cliff into nearby river before getting hit by Bao Zakerga).
After some time, they come across Ibaris. They mention how strong he is and how they feel anger in his attacks. After both mamodo use their ultimate spells, they are surrounded by Babiru, Kalura and Denshin. Garza is confused by the sudden appearance of the mamodo and Byonko explains that the mamodo have no interest except destroying Baransha's book, shortly before the quartet defeats Baransha and burns her book.
Garza is shown among the bookowners to receive a letter from their mamodo. He now also has a cat with a similar appearance to his previous mamodo, showing how much he misses her. In the mamodo world, she is shown dancing with Yopopo and other mamodo. She is also seen in a picture with all the mamodo, pictured by Zatch and given to Kiyo.
Description: A powered-up version of Okeru. (Video game only)

Trivia[]
When Baransha and Garza fought Zatch and Kiyo, Garza wore a hat in the shape of a deer's head. This way he could hide under a bush and look like a harmless deer. However, when he fights the Ancient Mamodo, he wears a giraffe hat instead. At the end of his and Baransha's Arcade Mode in Mamodo Fury, he is shown to also own atleast two others: a wolf hat, and what appears to be a moose hat.
Baransha's starting location in the Human World was in Uganda.
