| Overview |
Baraho (バラホー, Barahō) and Takos (タコス, Takosu) are a minor ancient mamodo team who appear during the Stone Tablet Arc. Baraho's spells are based on Strengthening.
Appearance[]
Baraho is a mamodo with a sharp, triangular head shaped like a pointed helmet, with narrow green eyes and a jagged, toothy grin. His upper body is covered in dense, purple fur that forms a thick collar around his neck and torso, while his limbs are golden and sleek, ending in large, deep reddish-orange bladed arms that can function as both weapons and shields.
Takos, his current human partner, is depicted as a lanky man with a straw hat that casts a shadow over his eyes, giving him a somewhat laid-back appearance. He wears loose, striped clothing, presenting the image of a vacationer.
Personality[]
Takos has his mind controlled by Zofis, but after Baraho's book was burned burned by Brago in the big Ancient Mamodo battle, he was freed from the brain control Zofis put on him.
Biography[]
Background[]
Baraho participated in the previous battle 1,000 years ago to decide the Mamodo King. At some point during the battle, Baraho ran into Goren of the Stone and Maurice and was turned into a stone tablet by his spell, Dioga Gorugojio. After being trapped in a stone tablet for 1,000 years, Baraho was returned to his body by Zofis when he used the Stone of Moonlight on him and the other ancient mamodo trapped in stone. Takos is not Baraho's original partner and, under normal circumstances, would be unable to read the spellbook or activate its spells. However, through Zofis’ mental manipulation, the cognitive dissonance between the descendants and the spellbook was forcibly synchronized. This artificial alignment allows Takos to read and cast the spells as though he were Baraho's rightful partner.
Part I[]
In the anime, Baraho and Takos first appeared along with Payom to inform Zofis about the intruders in the Devolo Ruins. In the manga, instead of encountering this group, Kiyo and the team fight and burn Hajime and Anna's book. They are only seen again in the final ancient mamodo battle, where he and Ibaris try to distract Brago; but got their books burned instead.
